About the Role:

Product Development Expertise

As a Senior Insurance Product Developer or Product Innovation Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and promoting new and existing traditional life and savings products across multiple channels to optimize new business profitability, customer needs, and production growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting market information and conducting internal and external product analysis to derive the right product solutions and strategies that meet customer needs and competitive market environments.
  • Leading and implementing product design and development cycles in line with company strategies in various product development projects.
  • Developing various product literature, including contracts, proposal generation system templates, memoranda, product specifications, training materials, product launch packs, and presentation materials for product launches.
  • Conducting and reviewing user acceptance tests for different systems, such as the proposal generation system, to support product launches and various product and regulatory initiatives.
  • Overseeing the quality and managing timelines of materials delivered by team members.
  • Reviewing product literature from other departments to ensure accuracy from a product perspective.
  • Preparing business reports as assigned by supervisors and ensuring accurate output.
  • Cordinating and working closely with various departments, including law, compliance, operations, IT, actuarial, and marketing departments, for assigned tasks to support product launches and various product and regulatory initiatives with good quality and timely manner.
  • Participating in product implementation taskforces and PGS regular meetings to support the implementation of product launches, various product and regulatory initiatives with good quality and timely manner.
  • Assisting in various product maintenance tasks for in-force business, including revamping existing product literature, dividend reviews, periodic due diligence with bank partners, Day 2 product development items, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A university/college graduate with 6-7 years (Manager) of working experience in insurance products development roles, actuarial science, or related backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical ability, creativity, innovative thinking, and customer orientation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with business sense.
  • Project management skills are preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese Word Processing.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
