Job Description

The Credit Portfolio Senior Analyst role is an intermediate-level position responsible for conducting thorough credit reviews, evaluating credit approval, and monitoring the portfolio to identify potential credit migration in close coordination with the Risk Management team.

The overall objective of this position is to effectively manage Citi's global portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties while ensuring alignment with risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the development of new techniques and process improvements by applying in-depth knowledge and integrating subject matter expertise within Risk Management.
  2. Analyze credit and financial performance, utilizing statistical scoring, segmentation, and regression techniques to develop recommendations for adjusting credit policies.
  3. Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment to perform comprehensive risk, financial, and data analyses, including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing.
  4. Research customer and/or management queries using risk systems and data, supporting ad-hoc risk policy analyses and projects as required.
  5. Participate in developing, testing, and optimizing credit policies, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance, and assist in implementing those policies and processes.
  6. Manage risk levels across multiple products and retail formats, preparing risk management presentations for senior management.
  7. Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, considering Citigroup's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial risk analytics.
  • Ability to apply credit and risk principles towards business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize, and drive results with a sense of urgency.
  • Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects.
  • Proven interpersonal, organizational, and analytic skills.
