Position Overview:

Responsible for crafting Annual Financial Plans on a monthly basis at the divisional level, projecting business performance in response to strategic shifts or market conditions, and managing stock levels to align with revised forecasts, ensuring the achievement of corporate objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-Season Planning

  • Develop Annual Financial Plans monthly, adhering to corporate objectives, leveraging historical data, trend analysis, and insights from merchant collaboration. Utilize planning tools and templates to estimate sales, margins, and inventory for the quarter at the monthly or weekly granularity.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team on quarterly purchasing strategies by brand and category. Assess quarterly receipts to confirm that the purchase assortment aligns with financial targets. Work with the merchandising team to present assortment and financial forecasts to senior leadership for approval.
  • Coordinate efforts to optimize inventory across Direct Retail and E-Commerce channels.
  • Finalize fiscal plans at the departmental level for approval from the Director/VP of Planning/Managing Director.

In-Season Tactical Adjustments

  • Generate reports detailing E-Commerce KPIs and overall business performance, providing qualitative insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Forecast sales, margins, and inventory at the departmental level weekly within the Merchandise Planning system, updating financial projections based on strategic changes, market conditions, and receipt flows.
  • Partner with the allocation team for weekly replenishment to ensure merchandise flow meets departmental needs.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to review business performance. Share financial insights at the departmental level to compare current performance against projections and historical data. Offer recommendations and implement tactical adjustments based on prevailing trends to enhance business outcomes and manage inventory levels.
  • Simulate various scenarios within the Merchandise Planning system to support strategic adjustments. Evaluate risks associated with sales, margins, and inventory positioning.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and self-motivation.
  • Familiarity with forecasting/planning systems - Retail/Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Sales & Purchasing.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English.
