About the Role:

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an External Affairs Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in implementing stakeholder engagement initiatives, preparing corporate communications materials, and organizing corporate events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in building, enhancing, and protecting the brand reputation of the West Kowloon Cultural District and the Authority through effective stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Corporate Communications: Prepare and develop corporate communications materials, including press releases, lines-to-take, presentations, and background briefs, to effectively communicate the Authority's vision and mission.
  • Event Management: Organize and coordinate corporate events, familiarization visits, and other activities to promote the West Kowloon Cultural District and the Authority.
  • Crisis Communications: Assist in issues handling and crisis communications to ensure timely and effective response to any crisis situation.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal key functions and external stakeholders, including government organizations, Legislative Council, political groups, media, and professional institutions, to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Database Management: Manage the database of corporate stakeholders and provide regular updates and reports as required.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Assist in ad-hoc communications projects as required, including background research, data analysis, and report writing.

Requirements:

  • Education: Possess a recognized university degree or above in journalism, communications, public relations, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience in public affairs, stakeholder engagement, event management, media relations, corporate communications, or related fields.
  • Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills, analytical mind, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. Be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
