Job Summary

The Hong Kong International School is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) operation and maintenance of the Student Activity Centre and School Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the execution of work orders and manage the daily schedule.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Maintain stock levels of tools and materials and assist the Engineering Manager with ordering.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and take regular readings and records.
  • Maintain and operate the electrical, MVAC, fire services, plumbing & drainage, and ELV system.
  • Respond to emergency calls or special duties as assigned by Engineering Manager.
  • Assist in setting up major school functions and events.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist Engineering Manager for T&C work and handover of new facilities.
  • Ensure the work area is safe and clean.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Graduate from a technical institute in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • EMSD Registered Electrical Worker (REW) license A or B.
  • WSD Licensed Plumber certification, if applicable.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in E&M system operation, maintenance, and installation.
  • Previous experience in hotels, schools, or institutes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with new facility handovers and T&C work.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of AV system operation.
  • Basic written and verbal English.
  • Good knowledge of general computer software applications.
  • Good team player and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a multicultural work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
