Main Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving assigned profit objectives through FX, derivatives, and rates trading, within the delegated authority and risk/counterparty limits.

You will ensure compliance with trading guidelines, position, and risk limits, while understanding and interpreting current market dynamics to handle enquiries and provide pricing to the front-line business units and branches.

Additionally, you will provide competitive pricing and market information to other business units and branches for the execution of customer orders, as well as provide market information and analysis to management for formulating strategic purposes.

You will also provide coaching/guidance to junior staff and assist in developing and monitoring treasury operational policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree or above in Economics, Finance, or Mathematics, preferably with professional qualifications.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in active FX markets, options, or IRS, CCS dealing.
  • A proven track record of P&L performance.
  • Licenses with HKMA/SFC for Type 1 and 4 activities.
  • ECF-TM qualification is preferable.
  • Thorough knowledge of business practices and principles, plus in-depth understanding.
  • Good communication and people skills to work with different levels of talents within the Bank.
  • Good sense of risk management.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Pragmatic with strong drives for results.
