We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Platform Architect to lead the development and implementation of our data platform architecture. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing big data, NoSQL, streaming, and AI applications that provide data services to other banking systems and business users.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data platform architecture, including big data, NoSQL, streaming, and AI applications.
- Lead the development and implementation of data platforms and applications, ensuring they meet the requirements of the business and are scalable, secure, and reliable.
- Collaborate with developers and external parties to resolve technical issues and troubleshoot problems.
- Establish frameworks, development standards, enterprise data models, and incorporate DevOps tools and methodologies for data platforms.
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in application development, preferably in enterprise data warehouse and big data/AI projects. You will also have sound project management experience and proficient skills with data warehouse technologies such as SQL, DB2, DataStage ETL, data reporting, and visualization tools like Tableau.
In addition, you will have knowledge of big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka Streaming, and NoSQL (such as MongoDB and Neo4J). Having knowledge of Java, Python, K8s, Docker, Microservices, Distributed Computing concepts is a plus. You will be self-motivated, have an open mindset, good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, team building, and problem-solving skills.
If you have less relevant experience, we would consider you for the position of Application Development Manager. Banking and Financial Services industry experience is preferred, and proficiency in both Chinese and English, with Mandarin being an advantage.
