About the Role

M800 is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based voice and messaging applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the application operation team in setting up, configuring, upgrading, testing, and troubleshooting world-class voice and messaging applications in a distributed environment.
  • Implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and document voice and messaging applications.
  • Maintain high system availability and ensure all applications function properly.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance services to our platform customers.
  • Coordinate with in-house application developers to resolve application bugs.
  • Propose and execute continuous improvements on application operations.
  • Document all application changes, upgrades, and new implementations as necessary.
  • Work in irregular working hours when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-year experience in IT operations.
  • Diploma or above in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Experience in Linux server administration.
  • Knowledge in shell scripting (bash/perl/python scripting).
  • Experience in application operation automation is highly desirable.
  • Experience in NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in running open-source software.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, innovatively, self-motivated, and with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English or Chinese.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the System Engineer role.
