Job Description

**Job Title:** Project Officer - SEN Support

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to support the implementation of our Special Educational Needs (SEN) initiatives at the City University of Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the UGC special grant for SEN students, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Update and maintain SEN and UGC documents, ensuring data is systematically and accurately recorded.
  • Support the Inclusion Ambassador Training Programme, working closely with staff and students to promote SEN awareness and knowledge.
  • Hold regular meetings with students with SEN to foster student engagement and support.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate training, workshops, and activities for staff and students on SEN awareness and knowledge, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Procure and obtain quotations for professional services and other community services/training, ensuring best value for the University.
  • Liaise with professional service providers on training arrangements and related matters, ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate large-scale inclusive campaigns, including the IDEA campaign, to promote SEN awareness and inclusion.
  • Maintain the SEN website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to students and staff.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned by the University, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

**Requirements:**

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences/Social Work or related disciplines, with at least 2 years' working experience.
  • Abundant knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
  • Effective and mature interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • High self-motivation and ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Pleasant, positive work attitude and good teamwork spirit.
  • Experience in supporting students with SEN, coordinating training programmes, project management, or mass events related to SEN is preferred.
