As a Senior Insurance Risk Manager, you will be responsible for managing the underwriting process for general insurance products, ensuring that risks are assessed accurately and policies are issued in compliance with company guidelines. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver excellent customer service and contribute to the growth of our underwriting portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment and Evaluation: Assess and evaluate insurance applications and related documents to ensure accurate risk assessment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build and develop good relationships with business partners and internal parties to monitor the quotation process.
  • Risk Management: Analyze risk factors and determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing for new and renewal business in accordance with the Underwriting Guideline.
  • Training and Development: Provide quotations and responses to handlers and provide training to Marketing staff.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned by supervisors.
  • Service Standards: Coordinate with Policy Administration Team to meet service standards of the company.

To meet the challenge, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Education and Qualification: University graduate with relevant professional qualification preferred.
  • Experience: At least 8 years' relevant experience with in-depth knowledge in General Insurance (candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Manager).
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient general underwriting skills, extensive experience in product development, implementation, and product marketing activities including opportunity identification, project implementation, and product marketing communication.
  • Language Proficiency: Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
