SAP FICO Consultant (Contract Period: 12 months)

About the Role
  • This key position is responsible for managing and supporting business needs for finance budgeting, accounting, cost controlling, and other finance functions.
  • The role involves analyzing business requirements, providing efficient solutions to support the Client's finance and its subsidiaries.
  • Analysis of SAP systems and identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and alignment with business requirements will be a crucial aspect.
  • Planning, coordination, and configuration of SAP system enhancements according to business requirements will be essential.
  • The consultant will drive change from requirement gathering to solution transformation and completion.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Cross-team collaboration with PVT team, project managers, business analysts, and existing support teams is required.
  • The successful candidate will be accountable for overseeing package-based business solutions holistically to ensure seamless integration with other application components.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP domain, specifically in SAP FICO, is necessary.
  • The candidate must have worked as a consultant in SAP Implementation/Support projects.
  • A strong background in Solution Design, Review, and Implementation is mandatory.
  • The ability to gather, understand, and synthesize documentation available from vendors, SMEs, systems, product managers, and business analysts is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Finance solutions, including SAP S4HANA, SAP Technical Area, is required.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to understand business impacts and make decisions is crucial.
  • Discussion of data requirements with partners, providing visualizations, and driving continuous improvement are also key responsibilities.
  • Cross-team collaboration with application and infrastructure project teams to focus on high-level designs and conceptual designs for project delivery is necessary.
  • Analysis of enterprise business context, trends, and business strategy is required.
  • Driving/participating in the complete software development life cycle together with in-house and external resources is essential.
  • Developing and analyzing solution options based on business demand, Enterprise Architecture, and balanced comparison of functional capabilities, non-functional capabilities, risk, cost, and benefits is a key responsibility.
  • Providing consultancy on performance optimization for new and existing solutions, particularly during production fire-fighting situations, is necessary.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in technology, exploring relevant emerging technologies, and communicating their introduction proactively is crucial.
  • Cross-team collaboration with the Technology & Architecture team to drive business and technology innovation to achieve corporate strategic plans and objectives is required.
  • Familiarity with different Finance business processes, such as month-end, year-end, intercompany reconciliation, is necessary.
  • Knowledge of SAP FICO, its integrations between different modules, and interface integration with non-SAP systems is mandatory.
  • Good understanding of SAP Treasury Management and Cash Management is desirable.


Requirements:
  • Cantonese speaker is a must.
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of SAP FICO experience with at least 5 years hands-on project solution experience in large-scale strategic programs or projects is necessary.
  • Exposure to multinational companies, diverse technologies, and processing environments is required.
  • Significant practical experience or good understanding of finance solutions is necessary.
  • Ability to think conceptually and simplify complex problems through abstraction is crucial.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders up to the executive level are required.
  • Ability to translate business needs into solutions and deliver results is necessary.
  • Defining multiple solution options to business problems is a key responsibility.
  • Understanding of application development methodologies, object-oriented analysis and design, or client/server systems is required.
  • Familiarity with financial models and budgeting is necessary.
  • Passion and ability to learn new technologies are crucial.
