Our Professional Services team plays a front-line role with customers, sales, and our delivery ecosystem. As an Associate Project Manager, you'll collaborate with technologists, sales professionals, and delivery experts who are among the best in their fields. You'll also work with ambitious global companies to define and progress their innovation initiatives across various verticals.

MongoDB Professional Services supports customer vision development, accelerates time-to-value, and drives multiple adoption scenarios - from building new solutions to modernizing legacy applications or migrating to the cloud. Our consulting solutions ensure organizations get the most out of MongoDB. Help us take our business to the next level of scale and excellence in delivery and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with customers to deliver packaged offerings quickly and successfully.
  • Owning project portfolios, working closely with customers and consultants to ensure accountability for execution.
  • Coordinating resource planning and assignments with the PS Operations team.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, schedules, hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Organizing and leading project status meetings and follow-ups.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Assessing and handling project risks and issues, seeking solutions where appropriate.
  • Fostering robust communication within MongoDB, the project team, and with the customer.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites.
Requirements
  • University degree or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to thrive in small, dynamic teams with a proactive attitude and self-sufficiency.
  • At least 2 years of experience with enterprise-scale software solutions, large-scale software engineering, or consulting services delivery.
  • Experience creating plans and priorities for project delivery and customer resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Able to foresee and assess risk, plan mitigation, and manage escalations.
  • Theoretical knowledge of Agile framework practices.
  • Certification in PMI PMBOK or Prince2 is beneficial.
  • Services delivery experience with development or operation teams is a plus.

  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to lead and deliver high-quality engagements.
  • Predictability is crucial: predictability of forecasts, resource needs, revenue, stakeholder management, outcomes, risk management, customer expectations, and experience.
  • Demonstrate business acumen through robust control of budget, project margin, resource utilization, and billability across your entire project portfolio.
