Bloomberg LP, a global leader in financial and business news, seeks an experienced Content Editor to join our Hong Kong or Singapore-based team. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for commissioning, editing, and publishing high-quality explainers on various topics related to the Asia-Pacific region.

We're looking for someone with excellent news judgment, a strong understanding of what makes a story suitable for Bloomberg, and a passion for explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Your role will involve working closely with our team of journalists, researchers, and designers to create engaging content that resonates with our global audience.

In this role, you will:

  • Commission and edit news explainers on a wide range of topics, including business, finance, markets, economics, technology, environment, health, politics, government, and culture;
  • Work closely with our research team to fact-check and verify information, ensuring accuracy and fairness in our reporting;
  • Collaborate with our design team to develop visually appealing graphics, charts, and videos to accompany our explainers;
  • Use analytics tools to track engagement metrics and adjust our content strategy accordingly;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, economic developments, and cultural shifts in the APAC region;
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and initiatives that drive innovation and growth within the team.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field;
  • At least 3 years of experience as a text editor in a news organization, preferably in the APAC region;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Familiarity with analytics tools, such as Parsley and Chartbeat, and web publishing platforms;
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality content under tight deadlines;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
