Job Description:

The Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) is a dedicated office of the HKSAR Government tasked to attract high potential and representative strategic enterprises from around the globe.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and high-calibre professional with proven experience in artificial intelligence and data science industry to fill the position of Senior Manager (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support in engaging and negotiating with strategic enterprises from the artificial intelligence and data science industry, and to provide aftercare services;
  • Assisting Senior Vice President and Vice President in providing one-stop services to and formulating tailor-made packages for strategic enterprises to facilitate setting up/expansion of their operations in Hong Kong;
  • Developing, implementing and supporting OASES' outreaching and promotional activities;
  • Liaising and coordinating with relevant Government bureaux/departments, public bodies, and other internal and external stakeholders;
  • Engaging and maintaining close contact with multipliers and other stakeholders from the artificial intelligence, data science, innovation and technology ecosystem, with a view to raising OASES' profile within the industry;
  • Conducting desktop research and keeping abreast of artificial intelligence, data science, innovation and technology knowledge, market intelligence and latest development;
  • Performing any other duties as required.
Requirements:

Candidates should have:

  • Minimum five years of relevant full-time work experience in artificial intelligence, data science and/or innovation and technology sectors, preferably in a managerial role;
  • Previous work experience in investment promotion, account management, business development, marketing and project management in artificial intelligence, data science, innovation and technology or public sectors would be an advantage;
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent; more advanced degree(s) and/or professional qualification(s) would be an advantage;
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in the local and global artificial intelligence, data science, innovation and technology related sectors;
  • Extensive network in the artificial intelligence, data science, innovation and technology ecosystem;
  • A strong command of written and spoken English, written Chinese, and spoken Putonghua. Proficiency in other language(s) would be an advantage.
Terms of Appointment:

The successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 24 months or up to 31 March 2027, whichever is earlier.

A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance.
