At Research Institute Company Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team in Hong Kong.

Our company, The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), was founded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2000 with the mission of enhancing Hong Kong's competitiveness through applied research.

We are looking for a talented individual to assist in ITF R&D project as assigned. Responsibilities include working with system designers, algorithm designers, and software designers to develop deep learning-based computer vision algorithms for project development, designing and training deep neural networks for computer vision applications, liaising with engineers, other professionals, as well as clients to ensure quality projects are completed to specifications.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in AI development, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, or computer vision, experience in deep learning-based computer vision algorithm development using PyTorch or TensorFlow, proficiency in data analysis and manipulation techniques, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

You should also have the ability to design, implement, and optimize AI algorithms and models for various applications, understanding of fundamental data structures and algorithms for efficient AI development, good command of written and spoken English, self-motivated, and good communication skills, initiative and drive to complete tasks quickly and efficiently.

This appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary of HKD 70,000 - HKD 120,000 per month, plus performance-linked variable pay, fringe benefits include paid leave, medical, insurance coverage, and contribution to MPF, the incumbent will normally work a five-day week.
