Job Summary

We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our Learning Innovation initiative as Senior Evaluation Officer/Evaluation Officer, Learning Analytics (appointed at the rank of Senior Officer/Officer). This position reports to the Manager and Strategic Lead – Learning Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and collaborate with other relevant units to implement institutional surveys and monitor progress.
  • Plan and operate other evaluation activities as assigned by the Centre.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analyses related to Learning Analytics projects.
  • Assist in proposing suggestions and recommendations based on survey data analysis.
  • Prepare survey, research reports, and relevant papers.
  • Maintain a database of survey data for effective storage and retrieval.
  • Assist in conducting relevant workshops to disseminate Learning Analytics projects.
  • Assist in the development of Learning Analytics initiatives.
  • Support the Manager and Strategic Lead – Learning Analytics.
  • Contribute to other tasks as assigned by the Director and assist with all four strategic areas as part of cross-functional project teams.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree in statistics/educational research (or equivalent) with at least five years' experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector.
  • Experience in supporting the evaluation of large-scale Teaching and Learning institutional projects.
  • Experience in working on teaching and learning institutional quality assurance and quality improvement change projects, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and associated presentation of data to stakeholders.
  • Experience in the mapping, tracking, and evaluation of the quality of student learning outcomes.
  • Experience in the provision of written reports as related to teaching and learning data analysis.
  • Strong business intelligence acumen in the identification of user requirements and processes.
  • Strong organizational, team, and communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English and Chinese.
