Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Member to join our Transaction Processing Division in Hong Kong. As a Cash and Settlement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing cash and settlement activities related to APAC markets, APAC currencies, and cash and securities netting with Clearstream.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process clients' and cash correspondent cash instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Repair and follow up on incorrect or incomplete instructions with clients via queries to ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor the outflow of payments and run risk control checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure cash and settlement instructions are processed accurately and on time, minimizing errors and delays.
  • Process cancellation requests from clients for their cash and settlement instructions.
  • Process cash and securities realignment requests with Clearstream on a daily basis.
  • Analyze and resolve escalations or investigations together with experts and/or management.
  • Liaise and handle queries from APAC cash correspondents and depositories.
  • Provide assistance to Client Services for queries related to cash and settlement.
  • Propose and implement new tools and applications to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate actions between stakeholders and contribute to projects or initiatives with outputs subject to managerial review.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Understanding of financial products and associated cash and settlement processes.
  • Ability to structurally communicate, both verbally and in writing, among peers.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a strict deadline environment and possess good priority management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate at all times.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with autonomy, be open-minded, and a quick learner.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with different teams.
  • Previous experience in cash operations and/or settlement operations is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and other languages, with Mandarin being a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and advanced Excel skills (Macro/VBA) is a plus.
