Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our maintenance and operations team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all resources related to mechanical and electrical instrumentation maintenance, repair, and modification work of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate maintenance teams and contractors to carry out routine repair and preventive works according to schedules and work orders requests.
- Work closely with department heads and other team members to prevent equipment breakdown, maximize equipment and facility lifetime, minimize equipment and facility operating and maintenance costs, and ensure safe operation of all mechanical and electrical instrumentation equipment and facilities.
- Provide technical support and advice to maintenance teams on carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress of maintenance works and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in the maintenance purchase and budget proposals within the approved budget.
- Prepare CMMS records, technical, and maintenance reports.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 7 years' experience in mechanical systems/equipment operation and maintenance with a minimum of 3 years' experience at a supervisory level.
- Leading skills to manage maintenance teams and subcontractors to conduct various maintenance tasks.
- Working experience in power plants is preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure.
- Well-versed in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
