About the Role

The Client Group in Hong Kong is seeking a Relationship Analyst ("RA") to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing and maintaining our partnerships with intermediary clients.

Key Responsibilities

With a comprehensive understanding of our operations and exceptional interpersonal abilities, the RA will collaborate closely with team members on a portfolio of wealth and intermediary accounts. The Analyst will support our relationship management initiatives by working alongside Business Development Managers and Associate Business Development Managers for a selection of assigned clients. This includes addressing ad hoc inquiries, conducting market research, and preparing for client meetings.

This role involves regular interaction with clients, requiring the ability to perform independent analysis, initiate original research, and respond to inquiries on a variety of subjects, often under tight deadlines.

By integrating product knowledge with firm awareness, the Analyst will effectively communicate client expectations to various internal stakeholders, including portfolio services, legal and compliance, portfolio management, product management, client service teams, trading, and other departments. Some travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for understanding global capital markets. A solid background in equity, fixed income, and/or multi-asset investment products is highly desirable. A keen interest in investment management, a collaborative team spirit, and a strong analytical/problem-solving mindset are essential.

Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of success, the ability to think critically, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to collaborate with others. Excellent presentation skills and client-facing experience are strongly preferred.
Other essential qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in analytical roles within the investment sector
  • Direct buy-side experience supporting intermediary/distribution client relationships is preferred
  • Strong academic credentials, including a Bachelor's degree, with preference for candidates who have pursued post-graduate studies or are working towards a CFA
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
