Assistant Institutional Research Manager

Job DescriptionThe Assistant Institutional Research Manager plays a pivotal role in collecting, managing, and analysing institutional data to provide important insights for policy formation, strategic planning, research initiatives, budgets, student enrolment management, and improving ranking performance.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage the collection of key performance indicators specific to the local higher education sector, including the University Accountability Agreement (UAA), Common Data Collection Format (CDCF), etc.
- Collect and analyse rankings data for key international university rankings, such as QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings
- Prepare reports based on the analysis of institutional, research and rankings data for various parties and purposes
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to committees and working groups
- Assist in ad hoc requests and projects
- A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Social Sciences or related disciplines
- At least 5 years' post qualification experience, preferably with tertiary education institutions and at supervisory or management level
- Strong analytical and computer skills with extensive experience in using relevant statistical packages and Business Intelligent tools
- Strong interpersonal, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua), especially with a high level of English proficiency in writing reports, proposals and minutes
