Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage Asia to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional investment banking services to Asia-based strategic and target Financial Sponsor clients.

The role will involve identifying business opportunities, understanding client needs, and developing detailed client plans to establish pipeline opportunities. You will also be responsible for promoting cross-selling of business lines across the entire SG Group and increasing share of accessible wallet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial responsibilities: Identify business opportunities, understand client needs, and develop detailed client plans to establish pipeline opportunities.
  • Business development: Promote cross-selling of business lines across the entire SG Group and increase share of accessible wallet.
  • Budget and reporting: Develop a plan and manage an annual budget on the client's portfolio, set commercial priorities, and actively involve in monitoring associated elements to the budget.
  • Credit and Operational risks: Manage and control credit counterparty risk in liaison with CRE and RISQ, ensure that counterparties are properly internally rated, and monitor potential regulatory risk.
  • Conduct Risk & Regulatory responsibilities: Monitor operational and conduct risks across the client's portfolio, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and contribute to improving Conduct Risk framework.
  • Duty of care: Ensure confidentiality is kept on all client sensitive matters and follow thoroughly all KYC requirements.

Requirements:

  • Investment Banking expertise: Structured finance, ECM, DCM, M&A, Asset-Backed Products (ABP).
  • Significant coverage/origination experience: FSC clients.
  • Demonstrable network of clients: Top level (CEO, Chairman).
  • Ability to review projections/LBO models: Knowledge of takeover code/regulatory/procedures.
  • Able to build an effective coverage capacity: PE, Infra, Real Estate, and ABP.
