Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing private cloud infrastructure and platform services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Private Cloud Infrastructure: Plan, design, and develop the private cloud infrastructure and platform services, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Cloud Strategy and Best Practices: Manage the private cloud platform in accordance with the cloud strategy, policies, best practices, and capabilities, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams across the IT division to enable cloud-native application development and deployment automation, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Capacity and Budget Forecasting: Support cloud infrastructure capacity and budget forecasting, ensuring accurate predictions and informed decision-making.
  • Servicing Partners and Vendors: Monitor established SLAs with technology partners and vendors, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement.
  • Network Implementation: Lead and coordinate the network implementation on private cloud architecture, promoting open standards, frameworks, and best practices.
Requirements
  • University Degree: University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • VMware Certification: Certifications in VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher with VMWare vCloud Foundation is a plus.
  • IT Experience: At least 8 years of working experience in the IT industry with VMWare, Windows, and Linux technology, with 3 years of experience in managing large environments of private or public cloud infrastructure and platform services supporting mission-critical applications.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Good experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering; work experience with monitoring and analysis software such as vRealize Operation Manager; experience in high-availability networks and performance monitoring platforms; experience in disaster recovery planning (DRP) and site reliability engineering (SRE); good analytical and communication skills, able to discuss with internal users and developers on their requirements.
  • Certifications and Project Management: Certifications in Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) a plus; good project management skills.
  • Cloud-Native Applications: Solid understanding of cloud-native applications, microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and related cloud infrastructure and architecture.
  • Data Storage Protocols: Knowledge of data storage protocols, including CIFS, NFS.
  • Automation Languages: Experience with scripting or automation languages (yaml/bash/perl/python/powershell).
  • Operating Systems: Knowledge of SUSE, Ubuntu, and Windows operating systems.
  • VMware Experience: Work experience with VMware ESX, Virtual Center, vCloud Foundation.
  • Software Deployment: Ability to deploy software through tooling (git/Jenkins/Ansible scripts/Docker) and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Database and Network Knowledge: Knowledgeable in database, including SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres, MongoDB; knowledgeable in network, firewall, and security best practices.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledgeable of VMware NSX-T Data Center deployment and design is a plus; knowledgeable of SDN, Cisco ACI network, and other related solution with integration is a plus.
