Salary

We offer an attractive salary package ranging from HKD 80,000 to HKD 150,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications. The total estimated annual salary for this position would be approximately HKD 960,000 to HKD 1,800,000.

Job Description

This is a greenfield development opportunity to design, build, and implement the next generation derivatives platform. As a Cloud-Based Derivatives Platform Developer at HKEX, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for modernizing our infrastructure and aligning our operating model to a client-led framework.

  • You will work closely with seasoned technologists and business stakeholders to deliver a cutting-edge platform that meets the evolving needs of our clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for system development and project implementation activities, including business requirement analysis, resource estimation, schedule development, application development, testing, and documentation.
  • Design and develop systems using modern technologies such as cloud computing, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate with teams across IT departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the platform.
  • Investigate and resolve design defects and technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform quality review for software design and code changes to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by your supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or related disciplines.
  • At least 3-8 years of experience in software development and/or software automation testing in large/medium-scale systems.
  • Solid knowledge in Linux, Web application, and Cloud technology.
  • Strong skills in programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience in container development and testing tools like Cucumber would be an advantage.
  • Experience in the financial industry or mathematics would be highly valued.
  • A good analytical mind, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation.
