Research Associate in Concrete Studies

Overview: The selected candidate will report directly to the Principal Investigator (PI) and will be instrumental in supporting the PI with the planning and execution of research initiatives and daily functions associated with the project titled 'A Study of Temperature and Relative Humidity Effect on Strength Development of Low Carbon Concrete'.
The appointee will be expected to:
(a) conduct research tasks, including the preparation and evaluation of concrete samples for the study; (b) manage the reimbursement processes for expenses incurred during the research; and (c) contribute to the preparation of reports, analysis of research findings, and the drafting of manuscripts and presentation materials for dissemination.
Qualifications: Candidates for the Research Assistant I position should possess a Master's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related fields, or an equivalent recognized qualification with relevant experience. For the Research Assistant II role, candidates should have a sub-degree, ideally a recognized qualification in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related areas, or an equivalent level of education. A solid understanding of structural design and finite element analysis is essential. Preference will be given to applicants with strong proficiency in written and spoken English or Cantonese.
Additional Information: (1) Employment may be offered on a temporary or part-time basis. (2) The appointee may be required to undertake duties at various locations and may need to work irregular hours, including weekends. (3) The compensation package will be competitive and aligned with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
