Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager of the Actuarial IFRS Reporting team, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Delivering timely actuarial actual reporting for IFRS metrics to satisfy the requirements of Prudential Group.
  • Conducting thorough analytical reviews and management control assessments to ensure the integrity and clarity of financial data.
  • Providing leadership in the Actuarial domain regarding IFRS reporting and contributing to the management of the Financial Reporting and Management section.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Allocation and Supervision:

Develop a comprehensive work plan, oversee the team to guarantee that all deliverables from the IFRS17 Reporting team are completed with high quality and within deadlines.

Results Review and Analysis:

Lead the analytical review process, focusing on key financial disclosures and supporting the team in identifying insights and proposing enhancements as necessary. Ensure that robust governance, processes, and controls are established.

KPI Management and Change Oversight:

Oversee and improve IFRS operating profits, implementing necessary methodological and assumption changes while considering their financial and operational implications.

Team Development:

Empower the team with both technical and business acumen, while also fostering their soft skills development.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Qualified Fellow Actuary.
  • Experience in financial reporting and management.
  • Strong business and financial insight in the life insurance sector.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and engage with multiple business functions.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Capacity to collaborate with diverse personalities and cultures in an international setting.
  • Commitment to high standards and integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
