The Facilities Management team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and facilities, providing a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the technical engineering and operation of our facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Head of Facilities Management, the Technical Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and working in partnership with the outsourced service provider to oversee the technical engineering and operation of our facilities.

• Oversees SLA, KPIs, and reporting to ensure performance of the service provider.

• Provides highly skilled professional advice to oversee all technical matters companywide and recommendations as a Building Services subject matter expert on building operation, critical data centers/facilities, incident management, service level enhancements.

• Identifies opportunities, supports, and develops facilities with various stakeholders and drives for improvements and implementation of best-in-class practices.

• Optimizes General and Critical facilities investments and integrates their planning, processes, and delivery to meet current and future business requirements, codes, and regulations. Oversees and drives execution of Global Engineering Standard Protocols within Hang Seng.

• Budget planning, review, and recommend actions on proposed property expenditure, expansions, and upgrades.

• Supports the environmental saving/sustainability Group and drives green initiatives of the bank in line with company strategy.

• Works closely with Capital Projects, Asset Management, Health and Safety, Security Risks, IT teams, etc. on policy settings, aligning with technical standard design and necessary FM support to maintain building operations, support business growth, and mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Professional Members in either Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.

• Comprehensive industry experience in Corporate Real Estate Services sector.

• Experience in leading a technical service team.

• University graduate and relevant professional qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related discipline with over 10 years' relevant experience.

• A comprehensive understanding of a broad range of facilities management and critical facilities activities and issues faced by large corporates.

• Experience in managing service providers and SLA.

• Demonstrated results in managing facilities management and critical facilities activities within an equivalent portfolio/major corporate environment.

• Demonstrated results in delivering successful risk management and control processes across multiple functions.

• Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and handle ambiguity or conflicts.

• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.

• Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.

• Consultative and client-centric approach in service delivery, supported by strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• A high degree of professionalism and tact in handling sensitive situations.

• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
