Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer provides frontline support by resolving customers' problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting. This field-based role installs, services, maintains, and modifies Company platforms at customer sites, primarily in the clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform service, preventative maintenance, modifications, and installations on J&J medical device products at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Provide on-site customer repairs; responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs.
  • Train operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with fellow field team members, including Sales, Marketing, and Training to ensure customer success.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, inventory of service parts, tools, and test equipment.
  • Follow safety practices as defined by the Company and/or the customer's site safety code.
  • Maintain annual training compliance to meet company, industry, and customer site requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field.
  • 4 years' experience in a service environment working with customers to resolve problems related to capital equipment, including surgical robotic equipment or related medical diagnostic equipment.
  • Able to work individually and in an established team setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and handling company resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and able to utilize computer-based tools for reports, email, and general communication.
