About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Analyst to join our team at Jane Street. As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our trading activity and operations are conducted in accordance with local, APAC, and international laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory filings, trade surveillance, and monitoring tasks to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review and interpret new rules and regulations, and update firm policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Provide education and training to colleagues on changes to regulations and firm policies.
  • Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance team to ensure that our trading activity and operations are conducted in a responsible and compliant manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the firm to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, quantitative finance, risk, or related studies.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with experience in compliance control room functions being a plus.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of local APAC regulations for securities dealers operating a global model.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with large sets of data.
  • Reliable and courteous team player with great communication skills.
  • Organised with exceptional attention to detail, and able to work proactively to solve problems and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to learn, and able to grow from mistakes and accept feedback.
  • VBA/SQL/Python/Linux skills and familiarity with surveillance products such as SMARTS Broker and Actimize are a plus.
  • Ability to speak Japanese, Mandarin, or Korean is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required.
