**Job Title:** Flight Instructor - Cathay Pacific Airways Limited

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Flight Instructor to join our team at Cathay Pacific Airways Limited. As a Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our pilots, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Instructional Duties: As a Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instructional duties as a Flight Simulator Instructor in accordance with the Cathay Pacific operations manuals.
  • Maintain Company Standards: You will maintain Company standards and Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department requirements.
  • Course Development: You will make development recommendations and implement Management approved amendments in accordance with course development procedure.
  • Routine Duties: You will carry out routine duties as required, including courseware development.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: You will ensure records of training are completed on time and submit reports as required.
  • Training Aids: You will ensure satisfactory training aids and up-to-date manuals are provided.
  • Standards Check: You will undergo annual Standardisation Check to ensure training is of the highest standard and in compliance with CAD and Company standards.
  • HKCAD Certification: You will achieve and maintain the standard to be issued with a HKCAD Approved Person certification.
  • Special Projects: You will be able to support Special training projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: You must hold or previously held an internationally recognized ATPL (A).
  • Experience: You should have previous experience as a training pilot or check pilot in commercial operations.
  • Desirable: Simulator instructor experience is desirable.
  • Background Check: You must pass a successful pre-employment background check (including criminal records).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge: You must possess knowledge commensurate with providing modern airline initial and recurrent level training.
  • Mentor and Train: You must be able to mentor and train ab initio flight students.
  • Flying Skills: You must demonstrate suitable flying skills.
  • Trainer Skills: You must demonstrate trainer skills to a high level of conduct.
  • Microsoft Office: You must be able to use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
