About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Video Producer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality digital video content that resonates with our audience. This will involve pitching and producing video stories, gathering editorial information, conducting pre-production interviews, writing scripts, editing video, and publishing and programming content on our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit video scripts for all digital platforms
  • Monitor breaking news and search/social trends to identify story ideas
  • Gather editorial information through research and interviews
  • Brainstorm and pitch story ideas to the editorial team
  • Experiment with new video formats to reach new audiences
  • Assist with programming and publishing content on our platforms
  • Occasionally shoot video in the studio and in the field
  • Collaborate with colleagues in our bureaus around the world

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role at a major media outlet
  • Experience fact-checking stories and conducting interviews
  • Passion for breaking news and current events
  • Skilled with post-production software Adobe Premiere
  • Familiarity with filming interviews and b-roll sequences
  • Track record of collaborating in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, overnights, and extended hours as required
  • Foreign language skills a plus
