Job Summary

SS&C Technologies Holdings is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Fund Accounting team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the timing and quality of client deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting of the funds' performance to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting of the funds' performance to clients.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of fund accountants, providing coaching, training, and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Review and provide technical expertise to assist accountants in their responsibilities, ensuring that all financial statements are prepared in accordance with various accounting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, and are completed within agreed deadlines.
  • Prepare and review periodic client NAV reporting packages, capital calls/distributions, and fees calculations, as well as annual and semi-annual financial statements for funds.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, auditors, and internal teams, to ensure seamless financial statement preparation processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their auditors, providing exceptional client service and support.
  • Review fund documents and agreements to ensure alignment with internal setups and support.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve issues timely and effectively, facilitating the implementation of new client setups, new fund launches, and fund conversions.
  • Actively participate in projects and process improvements, driving forward-thinking solutions to enhance our services and processes.
Requirements
  • University degree in finance/accounting or commensurate experience.
  • At least 8+ years' experience working within a financial services environment in a Fund Accounting role, with a good knowledge of the Fund industry, preferably in the Hedge and Private Market Funds space.
  • At least 5+ years people management experience.
  • Proven record of liaising with clients and audit firms.
  • Strong client and team management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with clients, team, peers, and management.
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to anticipate issues and drive solutions.
  • Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced work environment.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Resourceful, with a can-do and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Track record of delivering on process improvements.
