About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Specialist to join our APAC Actuarial team in Hong Kong. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting with year-end actuarial reports, implementing IFRS 17 reporting, and providing support to the Regional all lines budget loss ratio exercise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Taiwan & Hong Kong year-end Actuarial Report, USGAAP, local statutory reserving work, external audit and peer reviews with the utmost accuracy
  • Assist with implementation of IFRS 17 reporting
  • Assist with preparation and review on capital and solvency projection
  • Provide support to the Regional all lines budget loss ratio exercise
  • Assist with Regional pricing work
  • Keep abreast of local regulatory requirements
  • Strong ownership in improving process efficiency

Requirements:

  • Candidate with Mathematics/Actuarial/Statistics/Economics or any related degree background
  • Familiarity with traditional actuarial techniques and models a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneous
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as take responsibility for his individual contribution
  • Eye for detail
  • Utmost integrity
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize own work
  • Effective time management and strong communication skills
  • Ability to forge relationships with other areas of the business
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, VBA
  • Knowledge in R, Python SQL a plus
