Job Description

Risk Governance Role

  • We're seeking an experienced Chief Risk Governance Officer to oversee the implementation of regional third-party risk oversight frameworks and policies.
  • Ensure business adherence to regulatory requirements, including Key Risk Indicator monitoring, risk/control assessments, and quality assurance activities.
  • Analyze and review procedures, assessments, and reporting undertaken by the first line of defense, developing and maintaining monitoring arrangements to report and escalate operational risk events.
  • Conduct deep dive reviews in collaboration with procurement and subject matter experts.
  • Provide advisory support on third-party risk and outsourcing-related issues, including business proposals and projects.
  • Develop and prepare management reports and risk committee reports related to third-party and outsourcing.
  • Promote a positive risk culture and awareness on third-party risk, including training content review and delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Relevant professional qualifications are desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational risk, particularly third-party risk and regulatory requirements on outsourcing, with at least 6 years' experience in third-party risk management or internal control/audit capacity, preferably in insurance.
  • Experience in developing and improving management information for various stakeholders and providing insights for risk monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior executives.
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Cantonese is also required.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on industry standards and market conditions.
