Position Overview

This role plays a pivotal part in expanding our luxury branded residential sector, focusing on The Langham brand. As a key member of the global development team, you will identify and evaluate potential projects and owners worldwide.

The role involves developing and implementing the branded residences development strategy, establishing necessary policies and procedures, conducting thorough project assessments, structuring business deals, negotiating contracts, and obtaining internal approvals.

You will oversee projects from inception to successful completion and opening, requiring high visibility alongside senior corporate executives to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General and Strategic
  • Collaborate with the executive team to comprehend the company's strategic objectives
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Finance, Marketing, and Brand) to define Langham's unique identity for The Langham Branded Residences
  • Identify and assess growth opportunities for branded residences
  • Establish relationships to capitalize on deal flow
  • Conduct thorough research and present opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and represent Langham at luxury events
  • Implement the marketing plan for branded residences

Project Development

  • Develop procedures for reviewing and approving branded residences projects
  • Maintain a network to generate potential projects
  • Generate and convert leads aligned with branded residences strategies
  • Prepare regular internal development status reports
  • Negotiate terms with owners, resulting in Heads of Terms or Letters of Intent
  • Work with legal teams to create relevant agreements
  • Evaluate compliance with Langham's standards throughout negotiations
  • In partnership with internal legal colleagues, instruct external solicitors for drafting management and related agreements for branded residences
  • Negotiate various documents through to completion, ensuring alignment with Langham's standards and expectations for branded residences

Requirements:

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in hospitality development, real estate, or a related field, with a focus on branded residences or luxury real estate
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing branded residences projects, including managing contracts and negotiations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Design and Technical Services, Finance, Marketing, and Brand) to drive project success and define unique selling propositions
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with owners, investors, and stakeholders in the luxury hospitality sector
  • Experience conducting market analysis and due diligence to inform strategic decisions and project evaluations

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hotel management, or a related field; MBA holder is preferred
