Role Overview

The role of a lawyer in the AWM Private business involves providing legal support to the business, which includes advising on the structuring and execution of transactions, assessing legal and reputational risks, managing diligence processes, analysing diligence issues that are identified to develop remediations for them, reviewing and negotiating documents, coordinating with outside counsel and resolving issues that arise during the course of a transaction.

As a member of the AWM Private Legal team, you will work closely with professionals in the different areas of the AWM Private Division and with other AWM Private Legal members from different offices as well as with other groups on the control side of the Firm such as Compliance.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in equity and/or debt investing deals, with a strong grounding in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in complex and fast-paced environments, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
