Senior Lecturer in Elderly Care Services

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Lecturer / Fieldwork Supervisor in Elderly Care Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supervising students in the field of elderly care services, as well as carrying out administrative duties and developing course curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- To perform teaching duties, including supervision of students' projects and fieldwork placement;
- To carry out student and academic related administrative duties;
- To develop course curriculum and teaching materials;
- To participate in departmental projects and functions, including consultancy services, voluntary services, research studies, seminars, short courses and exhibitions, where necessary.
Requirements
- A recognised degree in Nursing or other Professional Qualification in Health and Social Sciences;
- At least 3 years' relevant teaching and/or industry experiences; preferably in the field(s): Health care services, Elderly services, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Social work, Aromatherapy, Mindfulness;
- For the candidates with Nursing qualification, they should be the Registered Nurse with the Hong Kong Nursing Council and holding valid practicing certificate;
- Good communication skills in both English and Chinese;
- Good records of connection with the industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.
Notes
- Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply;
- The post of Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Fieldwork Supervisor is in the rank of Lecturer;
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
