Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

HSBC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Red Teamer to join our Global Cybersecurity Research & Offensive Security (CROS) function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in the management of threat intelligence led Red Team engagements and supporting a team of highly skilled red teamers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage stakeholders, including regulators, to clearly scope Red Team engagements, define objectives, and direct a delivery approach that minimizes operational risk.
- Support growth and engage with a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve CROS objectives, including Business and Functions, Cybersecurity leads, Head of Cybersecurity functions, Control Owners, and Regulators.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of threat intelligence and red teaming methodologies to inform and enhance our security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize areas for improvement and develop strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure our security controls remain effective and relevant.
- Proven track record of delivering red team assessments and managing high-sensitivity projects.
- Experience leading highly sensitive projects and dealing with Red Team regulatory requirements, including CBEST, TIBER, iCast, CORIE, and AASE.
- Strong team management, leadership, and team building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop clear business impact and justification to drive investment in team capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in exploit development, purple teaming, attack simulation, penetration testing, and vulnerability identification and exploitation.
- Knowledge of malware packing, obfuscation, persistence, exfiltration techniques, and bypassing security controls such as DLP, Endpoint Protection, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Web Proxies.
- Demonstrable experience in tooling, automation, and prototyping, as well as source code review and penetration testing.
