We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Software Architect to make strategic high-level decisions for software development at M800. You will be responsible for envisioning the "big picture" and establishing architectural frameworks for software design and implementation to guide our development teams.

An exceptional software architect possesses a robust technical foundation, a diverse skill set in IT, and the ability to learn rapidly while fostering innovation. Software Architects are adept at design and have the capability to cultivate a cohesive vision for software functionalities and characteristics.

The primary objective is to create a blueprint for the development of software or systems that yield high-quality IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect cloud-native applications utilizing microservices and contemporary technologies.
  • Lead the architectural strategy and methodologies that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define both functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.
  • Employ tools and methodologies to generate representations for functions and user interfaces of the desired product.
  • Develop comprehensive product specifications with a focus on system integration and feasibility.
  • Define all aspects of development, including suitable technology, workflows, and coding standards.
  • Effectively communicate all concepts and guidelines to the development team.
  • Monitor the progress of the development team to ensure alignment with the initial design.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to developers and engineers.
  • Ensure that the software adheres to all quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility requirements.
  • Approve the final product prior to launch.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a software architect.
  • Familiarity with current technology stacks such as Microservices, NoSQL, and MQ.
  • Background in software development and proficiency in various programming languages (Java, Objective C, Swift).
  • Strong understanding of software design, architectural patterns, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling techniques.
  • Experience with distributed and resilient system design.
  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles.
  • A technical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and innovate.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • MSc/MA in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
