The Modelling and Innovation team plays a crucial role in maintaining and developing actuarial models, ensuring they're robust and efficient for actuarial reporting, pricing, and bonus recommendation purposes. They also drive innovation projects within the actuarial teams, helping them become more efficient and effective.
Key Responsibilities1. Model Enhancement Projects
Actuarial Assistants will participate in discussions to identify financial drivers and practical solutions, construct technical specifications, and carry out model enhancements. They'll analyze and interpret financial results, present project conclusions, and prepare documentation on model changes.
2. Model Maintenance
Assistants will maintain advanced actuarial models, perform enhancements to integrate new product features, and conduct regular model validation projects. They'll maintain model control through robust documentation and assist in constructing technical responses to actuarial queries.
3. Innovation Projects
Actuarial Assistants will provide technical and project management support on special actuarial projects, driving the use of new tools and techniques to streamline processes.
Requirements- University graduate with good progress in actuarial examinations
- Knowledge and/or experience in the life insurance industry
- Experience in Prophet or equivalent actuarial modelling software is a plus
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- A team player with good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
