Job Title: Hotel Revenue Manager

This role involves selecting the frequency of receiving alerts in days. The position is located at Nina Hospitality Central Office in HK.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Assistant Director of Central Reservations to oversee daily operations and lead the reservations team to achieve business excellence according to Hotel's sales & marketing strategies.
  • Closely monitor rooms availability status to maximize room occupancy, average rate, and revenue of the hotels.
  • Familiarize with all travel agents, airlines, and corporate clients to maintain good business relationships.
  • Monitor reservation records to ensure all bookings are being input in the computer system daily.
  • Screen and check all booking correspondences to ensure correct rates are quoted by the reservation team.
  • Screen all incoming correspondences regarding reservation requests, booking confirmations, cancellations, and general inquiries, and respond timely.
  • Maintain individual files of contracted travel agents/airlines for easy reference.
  • Establish blockage, allotment, and rate chart of all travel agents.
  • Make recommendations on operating procedures to ensure smooth operations at all times.
  • Handle CCG referral, NH referral, and VIP bookings.
  • Keep Assistant Director of Central Reservations informed of the booking and arrival of any VIPs, special attention guests, special groups, and/or any irregularities found.
  • Work harmoniously with all other hotel operating departments or supporting departments to maximize room sales and occupancy and provide satisfactory guest service.
  • Maintain Reservations section facilities in good order.
  • Monitor all OTAs individual reservations, alert Assistant Director of Central Reservations of irregular movements.
  • Collaborate with vendors to monitor channel management system and online booking.
  • Maintain statistics required for revenue management and provide coaching to assist team members in maximizing room revenue for the hotels.
  • Evaluate pricing decisions are appropriately folded into distribution channel strategies of the hotel, websites, and OTAs.
  • Create and manage rates and packages configured in PMS. Monitor the room revenue yield process.
  • Ensure consistency with inventory strategies and align with pricing philosophy.
  • Coordinate rooms sales effort with the Commercial Team and Front Office.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, assign duties, and expedite workflow for reservation teammates.
  • Provide assistance to team members to develop and evaluate sales calls and provide efficient training programs to staff to ensure smooth working.
  • Update and conduct training for all reservation team members to ensure they are familiarized with updated information on hotel products and sales programs.
  • Assist Assistant Director of Central Reservations to form statistics and market intelligence, & daily analytical data reports.
  • Carry out members' appraisals, identify and develop potential team members.
  • Prepare monthly duty roster, annual leave plan, and administrative documents, and retrieve all monthly analysis reports.
  • Conduct interviews for newcomers.
  • Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned by superiors.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Reservations Manager position.
Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma holder in Hospitality Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in Reservations, preferably at least 2 years at a managerial level.
  • Good spoken and written English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
  • Familiarity with PMS is preferred; knowledge of Opera/Cambridge is definitely an advantage.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, guest services, complaint handling, problem-solving, and coaching skills.
  • Strong managerial skills in terms of people management, workflow planning, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prompt and systematic decision-making skills with analytical power.
  • Well-organized, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to multitask.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent computational skills.
