Job Title: Chief Technology Security Officer

This role is responsible for assisting in reviewing IT initiatives and providing advisory from technology risk perspectives to support the Bank of China's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and review policies, guidelines, procedures in application security area to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advisory and practical guidance to support technology risk and information security assessments, including vulnerability management and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular assessments on application security to identify areas of improvement and implement effective countermeasures.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or other degree majoring in Information Systems, or related discipline, with a strong understanding of security principles and risk management frameworks.
  • Over 4 years of experience in IT security, technology risk, risk management, compliance, or IT audit function, gained from other sizable financial institutions, with a proven track record of implementing security measures and mitigating risks.
  • Familiarity with HKMA TM-E-1, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001-series or other security risk management frameworks, as well as industry good practice OWASP.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Holding at least one recognized professional qualification under HKMA enhanced competency framework such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, demonstrating expertise in risk management and security governance.
  • Familiarity with security testing tools e.g. Fortify, AppScan, and Open Source Scanning tools; technologies on DevSecOps and industry good practice OWASP, enabling the development of effective security solutions.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Mandarin is preferable, facilitating communication with stakeholders across different regions.
