Job Role
As a Trade Flow Support - Trading Application Support specialist at Squarepoint, you will play a critical role in managing the readiness of our global trading platform. This involves ensuring seamless pre-trading and post-trading processes, providing end-to-end transaction flow monitoring and support, and collaborating with various teams to resolve alerts and issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage global trading platform readiness, including pre-trading and post-trading processes.
- Provide monitoring and support for end-to-end transaction flow across the trading platform.
- Quickly identify, analyze, and correct alerts and issues, escalating as necessary to minimize trade flow impact and prevent outages.
- Collaborate with trading community, back-office operations, brokers, exchanges, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient incident management and resolution.
- Support scheduled changes, including application deployments, network implementations, and server maintenance, while overseeing automated processes and regular reports.
- Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvements through automation and collaboration with internal and external teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on trade flow support experience required.
- Proficient in Linux OS and scripting languages like Bash and Python or Perl.
- Detailed practical knowledge of FIX and familiarity with native exchange protocols desired.
- Experience in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL) and working knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, clocking (PTP, NTP).
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Highly organized, detailed, control-oriented individual with strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with an ownership and accountability mindset, able to make quick decisions and establish priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Atlassian stack (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), Elastic Stack, and Nagios beneficial.
- Knowledge of ITIL advantageous.
