The HONG KONG SPORTS INSTITUTE LIMITED is seeking experienced tutors to join our team and provide high-quality educational support to elite athletes. As an Academic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping athletes achieve their academic goals while balancing their rigorous training schedules.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering personalized tutorial services to meet the unique needs of each athlete;
  • Developing and implementing customized lesson plans to address individual learning gaps;
  • Monitoring athletes' progress and providing regular feedback to ensure they stay on track;
  • Collaborating with athletes to set achievable study goals and tracking their progress;
  • Providing guidance on time management, study skills, and exam preparation strategies;
  • Communicating regularly with athletes, parents, and coaches to ensure a cohesive support system;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

(1) For Secondary Education Tutoring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education (BEd) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with a major in secondary education curriculum (e.g., HKDSE, IGCSE, IB);
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary education level;

(2) For Tertiary Education Tutoring:

  • Master's degree or above;
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at the tertiary education level;

(3) For Language Tutoring:

  • Bachelor's degree with a professional qualification in TESOL/ TESL/ TEFL/ CELTA/ PSC;
  • At least 3 years of related teaching experience;

Familiarity with sports culture and knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are highly desirable.
