About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Actuary to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will contribute to the preparation and review of financial results for IFRS 17 reporting.

Responsibilities include performing technical analysis for IFRS 17 reporting and disclosure notes, ensuring timely and quality completion of other key actuarial tasks such as experience studies, cash flow projections, and sensitivity tests.

You will also ensure compliance with local regulatory regimes, company internal guidelines, and validation requirements for IFRS 17 valuation processes. Additionally, you will streamline and automate IFRS 17 valuation models and workflows, and supervise members within the team providing ongoing coaching.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or other relevant subjects with good progress on actuarial professional exams.
  • 5 years of relevant working experience in the insurance industry or advisory practice.
  • Strong actuarial knowledge and experience in valuation and end-to-end financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered for Senior Associate level.
