As a Senior Application Development Manager at Bank Of China (Hong Kong) Limited, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and support of our bank application systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop web application systems, mobile apps, and backend systems to ensure seamless implementation of business expansion projects.
  • Troubleshoot problems and propose recommendations to solve issues efficiently.
  • Assist project managers in project management and implement E-Banking platforms and mobile apps.
  • Facilitate user requirement gathering and recommend best practice solutions.
  • Develop, test, maintain, and provide production support for system development.
  • Prepare technical documentation to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in the Banking Industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud and Microservice architecture.
  • Strong experience in Java development, web application development, mobile app development, and complete software development life cycle.
  • Good knowledge of Java, J2EE, Javascript, HTML5, Struts, XML, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, Js, and shell script.
  • Experience with system development on Linux platform.
  • DevSecOps, API/Microservice development in Java, SpringBoot, OpenShift, Istio, Public (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), or Private Cloud platform, Maven, ELK, GitLab is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Mongo DB, WebSphere, MQ is an asset.
  • Project experience in transformation to Cloud or Microservice is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Good command of written English and Chinese.
  • Good command of spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Estimated Salary: HKD 1,200,000 - HKD 1,500,000 per annum
