We are in search of an investment allocation journalist based in Hong Kong to report on significant investors within the Asian private markets, including limited partners such as pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, and outsourced Chief Investment Officers.

In collaboration with seasoned reporters and editors across various teams, you will engage in fast-paced reporting and ambitious enterprise projects that bring intricate narratives to our discerning audience. Your focus will include global investors' asset and resource allocation within a dynamic Asian landscape, as well as the performance of the region's largest sovereign wealth funds.

We seek an individual with sharp news judgment and a broad sourcing network to uncover exclusive stories in a high-energy news environment. You will work alongside colleagues who are already covering regional sovereign wealth funds and pensions to generate comprehensive enterprise ideas. Additionally, you will leverage Bloomberg's extensive newsroom and diverse platforms—including video, audio, and social media—to enhance the reach of our most impactful work across various formats.

Responsibilities include:

Breaking news on global investors' capital deployment in Asia, monitoring funds they are investing in, and tracking financial flows in and out of the region. Making swift and critical judgment calls to identify key stories for coverage. Producing content that resonates with a diverse audience, from sophisticated terminal users to a broad online readership. Collaborating effectively with reporters and editors throughout the newsroom. Fostering a culture of innovation and developing new strategies to engage readers. Promoting diversity of thought and representation in our coverage.

Qualifications required:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting. A proven track record of breaking news and strong financial acumen. Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce both timely news and in-depth enterprise stories. Sound news judgment and the ability to look beyond the surface of a story. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Demonstrated continuous career advancement within an organization.
