Production Systems Engineer

Susquehanna International Group is seeking a highly skilled Production Systems Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our Front Office Trade Support team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our proprietary systems related to electronic trading in the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities- You will be responsible for performing daily system health checks and real-time monitoring of production systems to identify potential issues before they impact trading operations.
- As a support analyst, you will act as a liaison between developers, project managers, operations, traders, and external brokers/exchanges, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to resolve technical issues and implement business requests.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical and user documentation for new and existing systems will be an essential part of your role.
- You will develop a thorough understanding of our company's trading infrastructure, including Order Management Systems (OMS), market data, static data, and settlement/clearing systems and workflows.
- In addition, you will work closely with our support team to identify opportunities for improving reliability and usability through the application of technology.

Requirements- We are looking for a degree-qualified professional with a major in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of two years' experience in the financial industry, particularly around trading, market data, OMS, FIX protocol, and other related systems is required.
- Prior knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and market data across equities and derivatives is highly desirable.
- Candidates must possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work under pressure with changing priorities in a fast-paced trading environment is essential.
- A high level of attention to detail and a desire to identify and drive operational and technical improvements within our environment are also required.
- Experience supporting a trading room environment and working closely with traders is highly valued.
- Familiarity with market data and its applications in trading is also desirable.
- Technical skills in bash and python scripting are essential, with optional experience in PowerShell, VBA, C#, and other programming languages.
- A basic understanding of network fundamentals and messaging middleware is also beneficial.
