Job Overview

As a Logistics Coordinator for Fine Art Shipping at Christie's, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of art and property. This includes handling shipping and logistics enquiries from internal and external clients, working closely with specialist departments to deliver an integrated pre- and post-sale experience.

About the Role

This position requires strong knowledge of logistics, including packing, transportation methods, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for monitoring shipments and deliveries, troubleshooting problems, and conferring with suppliers to ensure that interested parties are apprised of the status of the shipment. Additionally, you will coordinate all property activities at the offsite warehouse, including property receipt, viewing room booking, and internal transfer of property between offices.

Main Responsibilities
  • Handle shipping and logistics enquiries from internal and external clients in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with the Pre- and Post-Sale teams to deliver an integrated pre- and post-sale experience for clients.
  • Liaise with suppliers to procure and coordinate shipping and logistics services for the movement of art and property.
  • Monitor shipments and deliveries, conferring with suppliers to troubleshoot and rectify problems in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate all property activities at the offsite warehouse, including property receipt, viewing room booking, and internal transfer of property between offices.
  • Ensure that relevant customs regulations and company policies are met for all property movements.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 1-2 years of industry experience.
  • Fluent verbal and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, including packing, transportation methods, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with all organisational levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
