Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Accounting Officer to join our client, a leading global financial institution, in Hong Kong. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting function, leading a team of financial professionals, and implementing financial accounting and controlling systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports to regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant standards, guidelines, procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of qualified financial professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective implementation of financial accounting and controlling systems.
- Champion the development and implementation of financial accounting and reporting policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain sound internal control and effectiveness in financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and senior management.
Requirements
- Degree holder in accounting and/or finance, with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting.
- Member of a recognized professional accounting organization, with a proven track record of leadership and influencing skills.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Good command of English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
