Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and applying advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to unique engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Standards: Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies.
  • Quality/Continuous Improvement: Apply knowledge and ensure compliance with Black & Veatch quality program, establish related processes, and promote a culture that is conducive to quality.
  • Engineering Production: Prepare complex engineering deliverables, perform research, and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with internal/external team members on complex projects, define project schedules, and communicate client interests and drivers.
  • Client Focus: Determine key client interests and drivers, communicate to project team members, and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns.
  • Knowledge Sharing, Innovation, and Technology: Serve as a technical specialist, provide consultation and guidance to project teams, and advance knowledge management of the enterprise.
  • People Management: Oversee performance management, career planning, recognition, learning and development, and corrective actions.
  • Resource Management: Implement resource management strategy, manage engineering resources, and resolve resource conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program and a minimum of 11 years related work experience.

Certifications

Most positions will typically require incumbents to have professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country.
